Lee Mueller

Lee Edward Mueller, age 84 of Hammond, formerly of Clear Lake died Tuesday October 16, 2012 at the American Heritage Care Center in Hammond. Lee was born on February 28, 1928 in Alma, Wisconsin; the son of Edward and Mabel (Jost) Mueller. He was raised near Strum where he attended school. As a young man, he enlisted in the armed forces and proudly served in the United States Air Force during World War II. On June 5, 1948, he was united in marriage to Eunice Knitter to which children Debra and Steve were born. Lee and Eunice farmed earlier in life. Following this, they owned and operated Voyagers Motor Inn, a motel/restaurant located on the river near St. Croix Falls.

Lee is survived by his daughter Debra (Brian Krogseng) of Clear Lake, son Steven Mueller of Clayton, grandsons Eric Johnson, Steve Mueller, Landon Mueller, his siblings Doris Mueller, Katherine Fandrey, Marian McChesney, Curtis Mueller, & Audrey Miller as well as extended family. He is preceded in death by his wife Eunice and sister Alma Krousey.

Funeral service for Lee will be 4PM Thursday October 25 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin, 1010 Newton Street in Baldwin. Burial with full military honors will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery on Friday October 26 at 10AM. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at O’Connell’s Thursday afternoon. Memorials are preferred.
