Leoma Kopp

Leoma Kopp, age 78 of Baldwin, formerly of Hudson died peacefully Saturday May 14th, 2011 at the American Heritage Care Center in Hammond. Leoma was born on April 4, 1933 in Yorklyn, Delaware; the daughter of John and Lena (Sydnor) Winchester. She was raised in Delaware attending Marshallton School. On December 24, 1954, she was united in marriage to John J. Kopp in Elkton, Maryland. This union would be blessed with four children; John, James, Lance, and Dawn. Although she was a devoted homemaker, she worked several years as a waitress for Bob Smith’s Sportsman Club in Hudson.

Leoma enjoyed going to Ceramics every Tuesday and talking with her friends. She loved making ceramic pieces for her family and friends. She was a good mother, a good wife and she was very independent.

Leoma is survived by her children John (Pat) Kopp- LeCentre MN, Lance (Roxy) Kopp- Hudson WI, Dawn Oppenheimer- Baldwin WI and her three grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband John in 1992, her sister Louise Webb, and her son James Kopp in March 2004.

Memorial service for Leoma will be 11AM Thursday May 19th at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson. Burial will be in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Memorials are preferred.
