Leona Marie Rice, age 93, of Ellsworth, died Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the Ellsworth Care Center, Ellsworth, WI.Leona was born on October 31, 1920 in Ellsworth, the daughter of Lorin and Rose (Barr)Ottman. She was an Ellsworth High School graduate. Leona married Calvin Rice on June 21,1947 in Red Wing, MN. Calvin passed away in 2001.Leona loved flower gardening, bowling and playing Euchre.She is survived by her three children: Dick (Kathy) Rice, Ruth Weinberg (Tom Johnson), andJohn (Jacquie) Rice, all of Ellsworth, WI.Nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildrenShe is further survived by her sister, Rose Marie (Neil) Peterson and other relatives and friends.Her husband Calvin, parents, and brothers Marvin and Donald preceded her in death.Hill Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ellsworth, is assisting the family with arrangements.
