Lillian J. Hradnansky, age 87, of North Hudson, WI, passed away unexpectedly on September 21, 2020 at her home.
Lillian was born on April 2, 1933 in Sand Creek, WI to Kenneth and Helen (Fillmore) Rands. She attended grade school in Sand Creek and attended Chetek High School. On September 21, 1955, she was united in marriage to Louis Hradnansky, a marriage that would be blessed with two sons, Gregory and Barry.
Lillian was a dedicated mother and family woman. She cherished time spent together on camping trips to Yellowstone, Mt. Rushmore, and Voyager Village, and enjoyed their trips in the family’s Winnebago to Canada and Niagara Falls. She babysat in the community, enjoyed cooking and baking, and treasured her time spent tending to her flower garden. While Lillian spent most of her career as a homemaker, she worked part time at local restaurants and as a crossing guard for Hudson School District.
She is survived by her sons, Gregory of North Hudson, WI and Barry (Lynn) of Shakopee, MN; sister, Dorothy Dudrey of Wyoming, MN; and sisters-in-law, Esther Rands of Harris, MN and Jean Polacek of Phillips, WI; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis; and siblings: Lloyd Rands, Ardis (Ray) Mower, and Merlyn (Oscar) Hanson.
There will be a Memorial Service at 4:00pm followed by a Gathering of Friends and Family from 5:00 – 7:00pm on Friday, October 2, 2020 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson. Burial will take place with her husband Louis at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
