Lillian Pittman

Lillian Pittman, age 91 of Hammond, WI passed away peacefully on February 29, 2024. Lillian was born on November 20, 1932 in Mauston, WI to parents Arthur and Rachel (Olson) Ackerman. She graduated from Elroy High School. Later moved to Hudson, WI and raised her family while working at the Hudson Flower Shop for many years. She attended Lakewood Community College where she earned her nursing degree. She worked at various Twin City hospitals then traveled to Bangladesh for two years where she was a missionary nurse. Upon returning she enrolled in seminary school in Missouri and earned a degree in theology.

Lillian married Asa Miller and together were blessed with 3 children. After Asa sadly passed away, she married James Madden and they were also blessed with 3 children. Their marriage would later dissolve. She found love again in George Pittman and they enjoyed 21 years together before he passed away in 2007.

Lillian had a creative mind and spirit. She loved painting, reading, playing piano, needlework and gardening.

She will be missed by her children RaeAnn Wilcox, Pamela (Russell) Rastetter, Theresa McCormick, Jim (Kathy) Madden and Geno (Lori) Madden, grandchildren Paul (Lisa), Darah (Tim), Matthew, Luke (Maddie), Genevieve, Amy, Jordan, Cole (Shelly), Claire (Nico) and Fay; great grandchildren Madeline, Nick, Sid, Dylan, Asa, Matthew, Jacob, Phoenix, Harper and Ronja; sister Jean Ornellas and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Rachel; husbands Asa Miller, James Madden and George Pittman; daughter Susan Miller, grandsons; Joe Score, Jesse McCormick and Jason McCormick; sisters Norma Wing, Esther Ryan, Rose Monfils and Ingrid Pardee.

A funeral service for Lillian will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024 at O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, WI. Visitation will be from 4-6 pm with a service starting at 6 pm. Memorials are preferred to The 700 Club.
