Lilyian A. Durhman

Lilyian Audrey Durhman, age 86 of Prescott, WI, formerly of Montevideo, MN, passed away November 1, 2019. Lilyian was born August 11, 1933 in Dundalk, MD to Herbert and Hazel (Le Brun) Merriken. Lily graduated from Dundalk High School, the Class of 1951. Following High School, Lily went onto business college. Lily was united in marriage on September 7, 1957 in Germany to Neil Eric Durhman. Their marriage was blessed with two sons, Grant and Eric, and 62 years of love and devotion.

Lily was a wonderful wife and mother, providing a home with unconditional love while raising her sons. She enjoyed flower gardening, greenhouse work, and playing racquetball and golf with her friends. Lily was active in the Montevideo community, volunteering much of her time to others. Lily and Neil were fortunate to share many travels to Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America. They also cherished their winters in Arizona.

Lily will remain in the hearts of her loving husband, Neil; sons, Grant (Cindy) Durhman of Prescott and Eric (Jacquelyn) Durhman of Fountain Hills, AZ; grandchildren, Royce, Paige, Patrick and Madelyn; brother-in-law, Paul (Rita) Durhman of Onalaska, WI; and sisters-in-law, Mary (Bob) Simonson of Bowman, SD and Rose Durhman of Zumbrota, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Merriken; and brother-in-laws, Raymond and Alan Durhman.

A Memorial Service will take place 11:00 AM Friday, November 15, 2019 at Joy Lutheran Church, 1435 St. Croix St., Prescott, with Pastor Steve Meyer officiating. A Gathering of Family and Friends will take place one hour prior to the service. A time of fellowship will immediately follow.

Funeral services are entrusted to the O’Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home of Prescott.
