Lloyd David Kinneman, age 86, of Luck, WI, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024, at Hammond Health Services. Lloyd was born on April 1, 1938, in Red Wing, MN to Lee and Ruth (Baker) Kinneman. Lloyd attended Prescott High School until the end of his junior year. After the loss of his father, he needed to help support his family, which laid the foundations of being a very supportive and loving husband and father throughout his life. Lloyd married the love of his life, Phyllis Ann Geister on March 30, 1957, in Red Wing, MN. This union blessed them with 4 children: Deborah, Roxanne, Cheryl, and Michael.

Lloyd was a very busy hardworking man. His very first job was working at Red Wing Pottery company and then the Twin City Milk Producer Association. Lloyd had a lifelong career at the Ellsworth Creamery for nearly 40 years along with farming for many years running a 90-acre farm along with many rented fields. Lloyd owned his own combine and did custom combining for Jacques Seed Company plus had many of his own customers. Along with being a farmer also made him be very ingenuitive and would have to create things to accomplish the tasks at hand. Some of his creations was a merry-go-round and ferris wheel for his grandchildren. In retirement he worked at the Luck Golf Course too! When Lloyd wasn’t working, farming or inventing things, he loved to hunt and fish.

One of the things that Lloyd took the most pride in was growing barley for Schmidt Brewery. Which in turn made it his favorite beer!

In Lloyd’s free time, he enjoyed watching TV, specifically westerns, and history documentaries.
Lloyd is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis; his children, Deborah Schommer, Roxanne Meier-Voss, Cheryl (Daniel) Huber, and Michael (Tracy) Kinneman; grandchildren: Neal (Melanie) Meier, Mackenzie Meier, Sheri (Matthew) Kennedy, Tiffani (Chris) Sluppick, Joshua (Amanda) Huber, Jeremy (Rose) Kinneman, Jessica (Rick) Pechacek, and Courtney (Connor) Johnson; along with 18 great grandchildren. He was further survived by his sisters: Avis Huppert and Dorie (Dick) Keeley. He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Archie and Ethel (Kuschel) Geister; grandson: Nicholas Meier; siblings: Robert Kinneman, Rodney Kinneman, Allen Kinneman, Marian Keichler, and Delores Webster; sons-in-law: Ronald Schommer, Joe Voss, and Scott Meier.

  1. Thinking of you all and knowing your sadness, but celebrating his life well lived. Growing up across the street allowed me to wander over and see Lloyd working on an inventive project or fixing an engine or any other part of a machine. He was very talented that way. I might even walk home with a prized smoked fish fresh from his smokehouse and one that he caught! He was always kind to me even though he was too busy to visit much. I know you will miss him so and it was always evident that he was loved.
