Lois Kordosky

Lois L. Kordosky, age 97, formerly of River Falls, and former resident of Valley Villas Assisted Living in Spring Valley, passed away November 9, 2016 at the Kinnic Health and Rehab in River Falls. Lois was born November, 25, 1918 in River Falls, WI to Lee and Mary (Christensen) Wilcox. She was united in marriage on April 18, 1939 to Stanley Carl Kordosky. Their marriage was blessed with three daughters, Lois, Marylee, and Kathy.

Lois was a devoted wife and wonderful mother who provided a nurturing and loving home for her family. And, as the proud matriarch of a five generation family she cherished time with them, and they enjoyed her apple pies and crisp. As a seamstress, she sewed for many people and graciously knitted mittens and gifted them to those in need. She was devoted to her faith and belonged to quilter’s and bible study groups. She delighted in a good game of cards, puzzle making, and always had a good laugh.

Lois will remain in the hearts of her daughter, Lois (Darwin) Huppert of Hudson; grandchildren, Karen (Mark) Zwolenski, Christy (Bob) Hanson, and Mark (Tina) Huppert; great grandchildren: Megan (Tyler) Leppert, Lauren (Cole) Quinnell, Hallie (Wes) Sylla, Nathan Hanson, Ryan Hanson, Benjamin Hanson, and Megan Mueting; great-great grandchildren, Greyson, Kaia, and Colton. Lois is also survived by many other special relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; daughters, Marylee and Kathy; sisters, Nellie Swensen and Eva Boese.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10:30 AM Saturday, November 19th at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church, 211 E. Division St., River Falls, with Fr. Gerald Harris officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to Mass at the church. Interment will take place at St. Bridget’s Catholic Cemetery in River Falls. Lois’ great grandchildren will have the honor as pallbearers.
