Loren Kalal

Age 84, died Sunday, Feb, 25 of natural causes.

Preceded in death by parents Frank and MaryJane Kalal, brother Ed, and two wives Kathleen (Jasperson) and Joann Phillips.

Survived by sons Pete (Khin,) William, and John (Amy): Grandchildren Win, Lin and William Jr.; Brother-in- law John; Sister-in-law Lisa; Nieces Nicole and Betsy; and nephews Sam and Nathan.

Loren received his Master’s Degree in public administration from the U of M and went on to work at the Minnesota State Patrol for 39 years. Only to retire and asked to come back and work part time ‘til he got in his 39 ½’.

Loren could invent anything, his sharp attention to detail only rivaled his sharp sense of character. He was always a thinker and loved a good challenge, he could wait out any problem until it ‘ went away .’

He loved being involved in local politics and was a member of the planning commission in West Lakeland Township for many years.

God Bless him, He will be missed.

Funeral Service 12 Noon Thursday, March 7 ^th with visitation 11AM-12PM at O’Connell Family Funeral Home, Hudson. Interment Hazelwood Cemetery, Bayport.
