Lorena Traynor, 86, of rural Ellsworth passed away peacefully with her family at her side on September 30th, 2015.

Lorena was born August 15th, 1929, to William and Edna Richter in Red Wing, MN. In her youth, she worked at Meadowlands Produce in Red Wing. It was there she met her husband of 64 years, Ronald Traynor. They were married January 6th, 1951 and in 1959 moved to their home farm in Hartland Township; a place her family will always call home.

Lorena spent her life on the farm; gardening, cooking, doing farm chores, and raising her four children. She devoted her life to her family and friends and provided them with endless love, support and encouragement. Lorena rarely thought of her own needs, but always tried to make sure those she loved were happy. She had a special place in her heart for her two grandsons and her great granddaughter.

She loved the Green Bay Packers, and spent most Sundays watching games and enjoying home cooking with her family. She loved polka music, dancing to it in younger days and listening to it in recent years.

Lorena was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois (Les) Firl, Joan Richter; one brother, Neil (Darlene) Richter, and her daughter, Bonnie Traynor. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Traynor; daughters, Betty (Traynor) Duncan, Karen (Traynor) Peterson; son, Keith Traynor; grandsons, Dustin (Elizabeth) Peterson, Matthew Peterson; great granddaughter, Shelby Peterson, and her beloved sister Beverly Richter.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at the Hill Funeral Home in Ellsworth, WI. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, October 5, 2015, at the Hill Funeral Home in Ellsworth and from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service on Tuesday, the sixth of October.
