Loretta Ann Christiansen

Loretta Ann Christiansen, age 82, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Boutwells Landing in Oak Park Heights, MN.  Loretta was born in Newport, MN, on October 9, 1935, the daughter of Walter and Pearl (Straube) Euerle. She attended Newport High School and graduated with the class of 1953; Loretta contributed her talents at 3M as an executive secretary in the Human Resources Department. She was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Christiansen on July 15, 1954, at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Paul. Loretta and Robert enjoyed countless, cherished memories together and many years of happiness until Roberts’ passing in 2009.

Loretta learned to be a strong-willed woman from her mother, and she proudly showed her three daughters to do the same; it was fulfilling to witness her children become successful, resourceful and full of life-affirming wisdom. She had an unwavering love and dedication to her husband, children, and grandchildren. Loretta was also incredibly devoted to her faith; her belief, strength, and determination came from silently walking with the Lord as well as following His guidance. She maintained a quick-witted attitude and positive outlook on the world as a whole until the very end of her life.

Loretta will remain in the hearts of her children, Sheryl (Deane) Paisley, Laurie Becker, Jean (Aaron) Milton; grandchildren, Kaylyn Milton, Korie (Quinn) Gorski, Kara Becker, Krissy Becker, and Scott Becker; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents Walter and Pearl; siblings, Marion (Dwight) Meyer and John (Sharon) Euerle as well as son-in-law, Mark Becker.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 10:30 to 11:30AM on Friday, April 13, at Boutwells Landing of Oak Park Heights, followed by a Funeral Service for Loretta at 11:30AM. Lunch will be served immediately following the funeral service. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.  Services have been entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson, WI.
