Louis Hartl

Louis James Hartl Jr., age 80, of Hudson, WI passed away on Monday afternoon, October 18, 2010 at Kinnic Long Term Care in River Falls. The family gives sincere thanks to the Kinnic staff, for their love and exceptional care of Louie over the past five years, and to the wonderful staff of River Falls Hospital.

Louie was born the son of Louis and Bess (Herman) Hartl in Arpin, WI on February 14, 1930.  In 1950, he was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. A jack of all trades, he had many jobs throughout his life, often in factories and truck driving.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers: Edward, Norbert, Bill and Leonard. Louie will remain in the hearts of his wife, Hazel; three children: Steve Hartl, Terry Myers, and Lisa Hartl; three grandchildren: Kale, Nina, and Sabrina; two great-grandchildren, Dorothia and Lance; brothers: Walter, Roy (Helen) and Robert (Nancy); sister, Marge (Wayne) Schulz; eight step-children and their families; nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A memorial service will be held for Louie at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 30th at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 485 Jacobs Lane, Hudson. The O’Connell Family Funeral Home & Countryside Crematory assisted the family, 715-386-3725.
