Luke Cody Loomis, age 26 of Roberts, WI, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 as the result of an automobile accident. Luke was born May 22, 1994 in River Falls, WI to parents Johnny and Sharon “Teri” Loomis. Luke attended school in River Falls, graduating from River Falls High School with the Class of 2013. Luke worked in food service as a cook at both Andersen Windows, and at UWRF. Even outside of work, Luke loved to cook and be creative in the kitchen.

Luke loved travel and adventure, and being out and about. Driving in his car and listening to music was a simple pleasure for Luke, and trips to Nova Scotia, Canada and Salem, Massachusetts were great travel experiences for him. Christmas was a favorite holiday, as he made it special for others by being such a thoughtful gift giver. Because of the fun decorations and haunted houses, even Halloween was a special holiday to him, since he loved going to haunted houses with his friends. Luke was that loyal friend who served up generous helpings of kindness and pure honesty, along with the occasional hard truth when needed. No one was more excited to receive a Bark Box in the mail, than Luke. He loved all kinds of animals, especially his dog, Petey.

Luke is survived by his parents, Johnny and Sharon “Teri” Loomis; siblings, Jessica and Hawkins; paternal grandparents, John and Lillian Loomis; four nephews; many cousins; close friends Jeremy and Corinne; numerous beloved friends; and of course, his dog Petey.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Dorothy Fredenburg; and aunt, Sandra “Dee”.

Luke’s family will host a gathering for family and friends, which will take place from 3:00-7:00pm on Saturday, April 10 at the O’Connell-Benedict Funeral Home, 225 So. 3rd Street in River Falls, WI.
