Lyle F. Tiedemann, age 83, of New Richmond, WI, died on February 10, 2014 at the Deerfield Gables in New Richmond.  Lyle was born on November 5, 1930 to Henry and Mona Tiedemann in Baldwin, WI.  He grew up in Somerset, WI and he graduated from high school in 1948.  Lyle served his country in the US Army during the Korean War.  He was a part of the artillery and later, quartermasters and earned the rank of Corporal.  Later on, Lyle began work at General Mills.  He retired from GM in 1989.  In 2007 he moved to Brooklyn Center to The Deerfield in New Richmond.

Lyle is survived by his siblings, Rolf (Ilene) Tiedemann of Hudson, WI, Rolland (Peg) Tiedemann of Idaho, Mary Ann (Charles) Traiser of Somerset, WI, Betty (Robert) Chryst of St. Croix Falls, WI, and Martha (Richard) Bauer of Ellsworth, WI; sister-in-law, June Tiedemann of St. Paul, MN and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Philip and two infant siblings.

Services for Lyle will be privately held.  He will be interred at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.  Arrangements are in the care of the O’Connell Family Funeral Home – Hudson chapel.  715.386.3725
