Lynda Hanvelt Harder, age 65, of Farmington, MN formerly of Ellsworth, WI passed away unexpectedly, at her residence, on Saturday, December 26, 2020. She was born on February 19, 1955 in Red Wing, MN to Donald and Nina (Clark) Hanvelt. She was an Ellsworth High School graduate.
On August 12, 1978 Lynda was united in marriage to Brad Harder in Hastings, MN. To this union a daughter Nina was born.
Lynda worked as a custodian for the Lakeville School District in Lakeville, MN for over 30 years retiring in 2018. She loved her job and was loved by many of the children over the years. Although she lived in Minnesota most of her life she remained an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Among her many interests were gardening, painting and quilting. She also liked taking care of her “SHE SHED”.
Lynda loved spending time with her family and after her retirement, she found she had more time to spend with Brad, Nina and was soon going to start babysitting for her granddaughter.
Lynda is survived by her husband of 42 years, Brad Harder; her daughter, Nina (Clay) Jackson; granddaughter, Myra; her siblings, Donna Hanvelt, Steve (Lorretta) Hanvelt, Carla (Mark) Hanvelt; parents-in-law, Cornelius and Dorothy Harder; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives; and “hundreds of school kids”.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Nina Hanvelt; siblings, Chuck Brathall, Glen (Dianna) Brathall, Bill Brathall.
With the ongoing Covid pandemic and the safety concern for all, a Celebration of Lynda’s Life will take place at a later date.
