Malinda “Lin” Wall

Malinda S. Wall, age 92 of Hudson, passed away August 14, 2013 at Christian Community Home in Hudson.  Lin was born December 11, 1920 in Emerald, WI; the daughter of Albert and Mary (Meyer) Kelm.  Lin graduated from Glenwood City High School, the class of 1938.  She was united in marriage on May 3, 1939 in Emerald, WI to Leonard Wall.  Their marriage was blessed with 4 children, Joan, Robert, Norman and James.  Lin worked as a cook with the Glenwood City School systems for 17 years, as well as provided for her family as a homemaker.  She also assisted her husband, Leonard as a bookkeeper for their family business.  Lin enjoyed sewing, quilting, fishing and camping.  She loved reading- taking special interest in history, travel and maps.  Lin was fond of travelling with her husband and family, and enjoyed trips to Alaska, Brazil and other travels throughout the United States.  She cherished her family and always took time for her grandchildren, immediate and extended family – letting them know how special they are.  Lin was an intelligent individual with a quick wit- who will be dearly missed.

Malinda is survived by her children, Joan Larson, Robert (Peg) Wall and James (Betty) Wall; daughter-in-law, Lucy Wall (Steve Miller); grandchildren:  Linda (Rick) Benton, Daniel (Yumi) Heath, Dean (Keren) Heath, Lisa (Dave) Wadsen, Peter (Stephanie) Wall, Steven Wall, Andrew (Kate) Wall, Lucas (Juliann) Wall, Amy (William) Morris, Kimberly (Charles) Mensing, Shelly (Chris) Lanning, Terrie (Dave) Johnson and Len (Susan) Wall; 27 great-grandchildren; and sister, Alice Anderson; many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; son, Norman; son-in-law, Kenneth Larson; brothers, William and Fred Kelm; sister, Alma Jancoski; great-grandson, Derek; and her parents, Albert and Mary Kelm. 

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Wilson Lutheran Church, 401 310th Street, Wilson, with Pastor Doug Brandt officiating.  Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery of Emerald, WI.  Memorials are preferred to WinterGreen or Wilson Lutheran Church.  Funeral services are entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home (715) 386-3725.
