Marceline “Marcy” Marie Rose, age 91 of Hudson, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by family on June 28, 2020.

Marcy was born on January 19, 1929 in Hudson, Wisconsin; the daughter of Albert and Julia (Franz) Wintermeyer.  She grew up in Hudson, and graduated from Hudson High School, class of 1946. Marcy was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Rose on September 26, 1947 in Hudson, and their union was blessed with 13 children. 

Marcy was known for being patient and her quick wit.  She loved her family, books, John F. Kennedy, ice cream and “The Golden Girls”, in that order.  Marcy made her own rules in life and lived life to the fullest.  Marcy was a beloved and devoted mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, godmother and friend to many.

All because two people fell in love, Marcy is survived by her children, Julie (Dick) Roberts, Sue (Jerry) Gilbert, Kathy (Jim) Lundell, Chuck (Joyce) Rose, son-in-law, Jeff Boumeester, Kris (Gene) Henck, Barb (Rick) Evenson, Doug Rose (Mary Marcel), Sam (Linda) Rose, Peg (Jim) Karras, Leslie Rose, and Stacey (Kevin) Tiedemann; twenty seven grandchildren, Don Roberts, Todd and Eric Gilbert, Travis Rose, Matt Olsen, Michael and Sarah Rose, Jason Boumeester, Jessica Arnold, Lisa Rambo, Scott Simpson, Tracy Prescott, Mike Henck, Joshua Evenson, Jenna Evenson, , Patrick Rose, Ashley Tuott, Natasha Schaefer, Katie Moore, Corey and Emily Rose Maddie Schinke, Morgan Larson, Mitch Karras, Beth Tiedemann, Alli Galloway and Andy Tiedemann as well as 40 great-grandchildren.

Marcy is also survived by sister-in-law, Shirley Rose; brothers-in-law, Jerry (Kathy) Rose, Dan (Pat) Rose, Mark Clemenson; God-daughters, Becky Rose and Jill Waddle; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Rose, Sr.; son, Richard “Rick” Rose Jr., daughter, Debbie Boumeester; her parents and grandparents; sister, Betty Menke; sisters-in-law, Bonnie (Fred) Kohrt, Betty (Lloyd) Hand, Joyce (Bill) Smith, Rosie Morgan; and brothers-in-law, Hugh (Lorna) Rose, Chic (Sally) Rose, and Fritz Rose.

A private family Mass of Christian Burial for Marcy will be held. For those that wish to watch the service, you may connect through St. Patrick Church’s Facebook Live at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9th. Memorials are preferred to Lakeview Homecare & Hospice, 1715 Tower Dr., Suite 330, Stillwater, MN 55082. Marcy’s family would like to thank the Lakeview Hospice for the loving care they gave to their mother, especially her nurse, Myndy.
