Marcus Olivieri

Marcus Anthony Olivieri age 60 of Hudson died after a short battle with cancer Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Regions Hospital.  ‘Marc’ was born on September 27, 1956 in Moorhead, Minnesota; the son of Tom and Audrey (Hoaby) Oliver. He was raised in Dilworth, Minnesota where he attended elementary school and graduated from Dilworth High School. He would further his education at North Dakota School of Science in Wahpeton, ND. He worked in construction his entire life. He began at Landsted Construction and then Todd Alan Homes before going into employment for himself; Marc Olivieri Construction. After a successful stint in business for himself, he was hired by Anderson Companies as a jobsite superintendent in 2015. On February 12, 1983, he was united in marriage to his best friend and soul mate; Diane Hansen at St. Phillip The Deacon Church in Plymouth, Minnesota. This union would be further blessed with three children who were his pride and joy; Brittany, Caitlin, and Jake.

Marc was a simple man who loved to sit back and take it all in. He was entertained by friends; whether visiting at Pepper Fest, around a camp fire, or on a jobsite. He took great pleasure from his snowmobile trips with buddies or boating on the St. Croix River. He took great delight in watching his children grow into adults and helping his son-in-laws with home projects. When he needed some down time, he would nestle in to his garage man cave, crank the music, or 1500AM Garage Logic, Click and Clack Car Talk and have a Spotted Cow beer.

Marc will forever remain in the hearts of his wife Diane; children Brittany (Jeff) Johnson of So. Minneapolis, Caitlin (Corey) Gaffer of So. Minneapolis, Jake Olivieri of Hudson; twin grandchildren Josephine and Everett; his mother Audrey Oliver of Dilworth, MN, sister Terry (Curt Gullickson) Oliver of Denver, CO; parents-in-law Wayne and Betty Hansen of Hudson; brother-in-law Glenn (Chris) Hansen of Chino Hills, California, as well as nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Tom Oliver.

Funeral service for Marc Olivieri will be 11AM Tuesday, October 11th at Bethel Lutheran Highlands Campus; 504 Frontage Road in Hudson. Interment will be private. Visitation will be on Monday, October 10 from 4pm to 8pm at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home; 520 So. 11th Street in Hudson. Memorials are preferred to the family.
