Margaret Jean Murphy, age 85, formerly of Hudson, WI, passed away on January 8, 2015 at Friendship Village of Bloomington. 

She was born on December 17, 1930, the daughter of Ernest and Kathryn (Cassidy) Lym in St. Paul, MN. She graduated from South St. Paul High School, and following her graduation, married her high school sweetheart, James Charles Murphy, on January 12, 1951 in South St. Paul. Their marriage would be blessed with four children: Kathy, David, Mary, and John. 

Margaret enjoyed her time as a homemaker, taking care of her husband and children. Along with her family, Margaret loved watching television, especially soap operas, reading, crocheting, RV camping, and spending time with her dog, Molly. 

Margaret is survived by her children: Kathy Murphy of Chaska, MN, David (Marge Olberg) Murphy of Savage, MN, Mary Murphy of Chaska, MN, and John (Andy) Murphy of New Hope, MN; and brother, Jim (Joan) Lym of Shoreview, MN. She is preceded in death by her husband, James; parents, sister, Dorothy Lym; and beloved yorkie, Molly. 

A Memorial Service for Margaret will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 15, 2016 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1500 Vine St., Hudson. Interment at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Hudson.
