11AM Monday November 21st at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson

Margaret Katherine Johnson age 91 of Stillwater died November 6, 2011 at Stillwater Good
Samaritan. Margaret was born on December 1, 1919 in Minneapolis, Minnesota; the daughter
of John and Genevieve Wallace. She was raised in Hudson where she attended schools prior to
furthering her education at Rasmussen Business College. After working as a secretary for several
years, she began at US Bedding in Hudson then United Refrigeration prior to working for her
brother Dr. Jim Wallace in Stillwater. for many years before working again as a secretary for the
Milwaukee – Chicago Railroad for 23 years. She was a hard working, dedicated and supportive
mother who enjoyed listening and dancing to her sons perform as musicians. No matter how much
older she continued to get, her favorite music was rock and roll. "It’s rock and roll or nothing." was
her saying. She became known as "MAMMA MUSIC".
Margaret is survived by sons Greg Shires and his wife Michelle, Gary Johnson, Dan Jay Johnson,
daughter Peggy Lynn and husband Keith Nelson, brother William Wallace and wife Diane,
Dr. James Wallace and wife Carol, sister-in-law Kay Wallace, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her brother Jerry and sister-in-law Lois Wallace.
A memorial visitation gathering will be held at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00,
on Monday, November 21st at O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson. Burial will be in the St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are preferred. Funeral services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Homes.
