Margaret L. Fisher

Margaret Louise (nee: Nelson) Fisher, left us peacefully on February 12, 2013 to be with the Lord and her beloved husband, Robert.

Margaret was born on December 31, 1927, in Hudson WI to Theodore and Eleanor Nelson. She was the first of two children born to this union. She attended school in Hudson, WI.

On September 4, 1947, she was united in marriage to her best friend, Robert A. Fisher at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. This union would be blessed with four children: Kathryn, David, Joseph, and Richard.

Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Margaret will always be remembered for her warm personality and abundant love, and also for her cooking and baking, especially her Christmas cookies. She spent the majority of her adult life as a homemaker with everyone appreciating her smile and warm heart.

She took great pleasure spending time at their home and lake home, handiwork, and shopping. Her greatest enjoyment was being around her family and being a mother and grandmother. She was a longtime member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

Margaret is survived by her children: Kathryn O’Brien (friend Phil Skarda) of Hudson, WI, David (Kay) Fisher of Stillwater, MN, Joseph Fisher (friend Michelle Price) of Stillwater, MN, and Richard Fisher (friend Lani Schoenick) of Hudson; grandchildren, Brandy (Aaron) Zeuli of Hudson, WI, Benjamin (Erika) Fisher of West Lakeland, MN, Christopher (Jennifer) Fisher of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Molly O’Brien of Hudson, WI, and Morgan Fisher of Hudson, WI; great-grandchildren, Anna Fisher, Ellie Fisher, Landon Zeuli, and Kate Zeuli; sisters-in-law, Delores Pechacek of River Falls, WI, and Berneita (Walter) Wienke of River Falls, WI.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, and brother, John Nelson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1500 Vine St., Hudson, with a visitation starting at 11 a.m. prior to the Mass at church. Interment following at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to the Pine Ridge Assisted Living and St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Pine Ridge Assisted Living and Hudson Hospital for their kindness, compassion, and care.
