After high school, she waitressed for Bark’s Bakery in Baldwin. On August 29, 1943, she was united in marriage to Maurice W. Kimberly at North Rush River Lutheran Church, rural Baldwin. She also took great pleasure in polka dancing and socializing with her family and friends.
