Marianne Jane Gilbertson, age 85 of River Falls, WI, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2021 at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Marianne was born on January 18, 1936 in Connorsville, WI to William and Helen (Miller) Dinnies. She graduated from Boyceville High School, with the class of 1954. On November 9, 1964 Marianne was united in marriage to Clarence Robert Gilbertson. Their marriage was blessed with seven children, Linda, Robert, Steven, Sharon, Cindy, Sandra and Gary.

Marianne loved keeping busy helping family, friends, and neighbors, and playing cards at the senior citizen center. She loved working on her gardens of flowers, strawberries, and raspberries, which she shared with all, and loved getting everyone together for a good meal. Marianne spent many days gathering and traveling with her Luther Memorial Church family and friends. A big fan of the Badgers, Vikings, and Twins, Marianne made sure they were on her schedule! She loved traveling the country to visit her grandkids and keep up with all of their activities.

Marianne and Bud traveled extensively all over the world including Africa, Fiji, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.

Marianne is survived by her children, Linda (Tom) Fea of Sacramento, CA, Robert (Debbie) Gilbertson of Ellsworth, WI, Steven (Pat) Gilbertson of Mesa, AZ, Sharon (Dan) Dale of Moses Lake, WA, Cindy (Kevin) Haskins of River Falls, WI, Sandra (Tom) Otremba of Appleton, WI; her grandchildren, Christopher (Ruby) Fea, Courtney Fea, Becky Nelson, Jennifer Nelson, Rachel (Chris) McDonough, Travis Gilbertson, Eric (Danielle) Gilbertson, Marissa (Andy) Westbrook, Scott (Carrie) Haskins, Laura Haskins, Sarah (Jesse) Driller, Alex (Ciara Zaspel) Haskins, Kerianne (Joel) Bernstein, Kyle (Angela) Otremba, Kristopher (Emmy) Otremba; her many great-grandchildren Cailee, Hayden, Dylan, Brynlee, Naomi, Chloe, Sam, Eileen, Shalyn, Olivia, Owen, Benjamin, Penelope, Mason, Nolan, Holly, Austin, Agatha, Winifred, Lukas, Nora; her sisters Anita (Leonard) Jicha of Menomonie, WI, Carol (Warren “Pork”) Olson of Connorsville, WI; her sisters-in-law Iris “Susie” Winter, Rose Gilbertson, and Carol Gilbertson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Helen Dinnies; her husband, Clarence “Bud” Gilbertson; her son, Gary Gilbertson; and her brothers-in-law, Gary, Lee, and Roland Gilbertson.

A visitation for Marianne will be held 9:00- 11:00am with 11:00am Service on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Luther Memorial Church 420 S 4th St, River Falls, WI 54022. A luncheon will follow the service.
