Marie Lunzer, age 84, passed away peacefully Monday, October 22, 2018, at the Baldwin Care Center. Marie was born February 12, 1934, in Dotham, Alabama, the daughter of Poulan and Gladys (McKeen) Key. She attended grade school in Georgia, and graduated from Sylvester High School. On July 2, 1953, she was united in marriage to Gerald “Jerry” Lunzer in Moultrie, GA; together they shared 63 years of happiness, dedication and unconditional love before Jerry’s passing in 2015. Marie and Jerry’s union also blessed them with three children: Patty, Barry, and Cynthia.

Marie was talented in making artificial flower pieces, and produced countless, vibrant decorations out of her in-home store: Marie’s Keepsakes, for many years.

Marie will remain in the hearts of her children, Patty (Glen) Wernlund, Barry (Mary Jo) Lunzer, and Cynthia Lunzer; grandchildren, Chad (Daydra) Wernlund, Emily (Donny) Koehler, Trista (Bo) Brandt, Jillian Lunzer, Alison (Chris) Carroll, Bryce (Kortney) Lunzer; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters; as well as other extended family and numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Gerald “Jerry”; parents, Poulan and Gladys; 4 brothers; and 4 sisters.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 4 to 6 PM on Friday, October 26, 2018, at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin, WI.
