Marilyn Mary Mickelson, age 59 of Hudson, WI, passed away August 17, 2020 at the REM House of Hudson.  Marilyn was born September 16, 1960 in Red Wing, MN to Sidney and Marcella (Huppert) Mickelson.  Simple pleasures brought the biggest smiles and greatest joys to Marilyn’s life.  She loved to go on road trips, strum on her Frisbee, and page through her favorite magazines.  She delighted in music, especially enjoying Patsy Cline, Elvis and Enya.

Marilyn will remain in the hearts of her mother, Marcella Mickelson-Hebaus; step-father, George Hebaus; sisters, Nancy (Roger) Walz and Rose Mickelson; nieces and nephews, Dan Walz, Brady (Randi) Walz, Mike Walz and Jinny Walz; great nieces and nephews, Jaden, Gabriela, Mia, Nico and Luka; her awesome caregivers at the REM House, Judith, Julie, Amy, Cath, Cathy S., Cathy and sisters-at-heart, Erica, Tina and Patty.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sidney Mickelson; brother, Siddie Mickelson; sister, Beverly Mickelson; and niece, Elisa Mickelson.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1500 Vine St., Hudson, with Rev. Fr. John Gerritts officiating.  A visitation (with respect to social distancing and encouraging the use of masks) will be held one hour prior to Mass at the church.  Private interment will take place at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Ellsworth.  Marilyn’s nieces and nephews will have the honor as pallbearers.
