Marjorie Virginia Ziehl, age 85, of Newport MN and formerly So. St. Paul MN, died on March 9, 2011. Marjorie was born the daughter of Richard & Martha (Goldschmidt) Bystrom on March 18, 1925 in Superior, WI.

On October 9, 1948, Marjorie was united in marriage to Kenneth L. Ziehl at Grace Lutheran Church in So. St. Paul. They were blessed with 2 children Linda & Richard. They enjoyed traveling on bus tours throughout the US. Kenneth passed in 2007 and Marjorie continued to live at the Woodlyn Heights Healthcare Center in Inver Grove Heights, MN.

Marjorie was an organized woman who liked things clean and tidy. She enjoyed working in her large yard, playing cards with friends, and doing needlework in her younger years. She was devoted to her family and loved being a grandmother.

Marjorie is survived by her son, Richard “Rick” Ziehl (Carol) of Newport, MN; daughter, Linda Klosowsky (Bruce) of South St. Paul, MN; grandchildren, Jennifer Lund (Andy) of Marion IA and Jeffrey Schultz (Renee) of Hastings MN; sisters, Violet Barden and Laura Jensen (Don); many other relatives and close friends.

A memorial service will be held for Marjorie at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 12th at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, 715-386-3725. Visitation for one hour prior. Interment will follow in the Willow River Cemetery.
