Mark Grognet

Mark Grognet “Grogs”, age 54 of Baldwin, died peacefully of an apparent heart attack while hunting near Wilson on Saturday, November 23, 2013. Mark was born on February 23, 1959 in Green Bay, Wisconsin; the son of Richard and Janice (Schefe) Grognet. He was raised in Green Bay attending Danz Elementary School prior to graduating from Preble High School in 1977. He would further his education at NWTC in Green Bay where he received his degree as an electrician. He proudly became a master electrician and owned and operated Enterprise Electric and Alarm. On July 9, 1988, he was united in marriage to his best friend and soul mate; Joy Lyn Watermolen at Trinity Lutheran Church in Green Bay. This union would be blessed with two sons; Brandon and Christian.

Mark was known and loved by many. He has been a dedicated member of United Fire and Rescue District’s Baldwin Station for 25 years, and has served on the Blackhawk Hockey Association Board for countless years as well. He loved the outdoors; deer hunting and ice fishing were his favorites. It’s only fitting that he died at his deer stand in the presence of Gods beauty. Mark was a humble man who never forgot his past and appreciated his 26 years of sobriety. Those who knew Mark, will be forever grateful for his keen sense of humor and his infectious smirk.

Mark will remain in the hearts of his wife, Joy; sons, Brandon and Christian; mom, Janice Delemater of Baldwin; step-siblings, Larry (Judy) Delemater of Oconto, WI, Denise (Mike) Stroobants of Green Bay, brother-in-law, Mike Keuler of Shawano, WI, step brother-in-law, Steve Delong of Woodbridge, IL, many nieces and nephews, as well as countless friends from United Fire and Blackhawk Hockey. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Grognet; sister, Cheryl Keuler; step-father, Robert Delemater, step-sister, Holly Delong; mother-in-law, Judy Watermolen; and father-in-law, Gerald Watermolen.
