Mary C. Schramski

Mary Catherine Schramski, age 86 of Ellsworth WI, died on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Preferred Senior Living. Mary was born May 22, 1932 in Benson MN to parents Terrance and Ella (Fogerty) Commerford. Mary graduated from Academy of Holy Angels in Richfield MN. She was united in marriage to Gerald Thomas Schramski on June 6, 1959. Their union in marriage would be blessed with a son, Thomas, and a daughter, Katie.

Mary worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Wieser Concrete. She also enjoyed crocheting, quilting, puzzles, games, and making things with her hands, as well as taking great joy in cooking and baking. She made a warm and loving home, and was a mother to many. Her legacy of love and happiness has touched all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed.

Mary is survived by her son, Thomas (Kara) Schramski of Mason City IA; her daughter, Katie (Trent Sinclair) Schramski of Green Bay WI; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Antheny) Satterfield, and Benjamin, Megan, Samuel, and Stella Schramski; great-grandchildren, Emily, Shaun, and Olivia Satterfield; twenty-one nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Schramski; sisters, Margaret, Mary T., Sister Fabia (Esperance) O.P., and Elizabeth A.; brothers, Marcellus, Thomas, and Joseph; and infant brother, Michael.

Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Schramski will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, January 11th at the St. Francis Catholic Church, 231 W. Woodworth St. in Ellsworth, with Rev. Fr. Eric Dadson officiating. Visitation will also be held at church, beginning at 10:00am. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. Services have been entrusted to the O’Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home of Ellsworth WI. 715-273-4421
