Mary Eleanora Johns, 74, of Ellsworth, WI, passed away with her family at her side, on Wednesday, February 24, at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN, She was born in Hillsboro, IL to Floyd and Eleanor (Stiller) Williams. She married Leroy Johns and they welcomed a daughter, Sherry. They were married nearly forty years.
Mary was selfless, loving, caring, and had a heart of gold. She loved her family unconditionally and was very proud of them. She loved to spoil her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always giving and helping everyone. She also had a special place in her heart for animals and wanted to save every one of them she came across. She was truly an angel on earth!
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Johns and her parents.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Mike McQuiston) Soehlig; grandchildren, Christopher (Kari) Randazzo of Ellsworth, Ashley Jostes of Red Wing, MN, Dustin Jostes of Moorhead, MN; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Brock, Gavin, Zeike, Isabella, and Vander; sister, Judy Young of St. Louis, MO.
The family thanks The Lutheran Home staff for the wonderful care she received and her therapist who helped her. Also, thanks to United Hospital doctors and nursing staff for making her comfortable during her last days.
