Mary Ellen Knoblauch, age 89, lifelong resident of Prescott, WI passed peacefully on May 7th, 2023. Mary Ellen Knoblauch, daughter of Blanche and Clarence Knoblauch, was born on April 17,1934 in Clifton Township. She was the oldest of three children. She attended Sunnyside School, a one-room schoolhouse in Prescott, until 8th grade when she finished school at Prescott High School. After graduation, she attended comptometer school, in St. Paul, MN. She was recognized for 50 years of employment in medical records, at Regina Memorial Hospital as well as various doctors’ offices affiliated with Regina Memorial, in Hastings, Minnesota.

In her spare time, she enjoyed working at the election poll site as well as helping to organize her high school alumni get togethers. She enjoyed her time singing in the church choir at both St. Paul’s Lutheran of Prescott and St. John’s Lutheran in Hastings. She loved the holidays and always looked forward to decorating the house in a festive way, as well as playing cards with her family. Furthermore, she took great pleasure in showing off her vast collection of denim day’s figurines. She certainly was not afraid to get her hands dirty outside either. She found mowing her lawn rewarding and planting her petunias brought gratifying smiles. She enjoyed bird watching; especially the cardinals and her favorite color lavender. Last but not least, she also loved giving back to the Prescott community by being a blood donor helping countless lives in the process.

She will remain in the hearts of her sister, Helen M. Green; two nieces, Jackie Heller (Rich), Kristin Spencer (Michael) and nephew, Daniel Knoblauch (Lenee); great nieces and nephews, Jennifer Gunderson (Keith), Jason Heller (Katie), Roman Knoblauch, Troy Knoblauch, Ophelia Knoblauch and Jordan Knoblauch; great great nieces, Kinsley Gunderson, Kjerstyn Gunderson and Kira Heller. She was preceded in death by; her parents Blanche and Clarence Knoblauch and her younger brother Orin Knoblauch.

Funeral service for Mary Ellen Knoblauch will be 11:00am, Saturday, May 13th at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Prescott. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church Saturday morning. Burial will be in the Pine Glen Cemetery. Memorials are preferred and will be used in her memory at her church.
