Mary Etta Robinson

Mary Etta Robinson (nee Munson), age 86 of Woodville, WI, died on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at the St. Therese Home in New Hope, MN.  Mary Etta was born on August 8, 1927 in Ridgeway, MO to parents Carl Emil and Edith Clara (Williams) Munson. After moving with her family, Mary Etta graduated from McKenzie High School in Detroit, MI. After high school, Mary Etta furthered her education at Wayne State University, and the University of Kansas, where she earned degrees in neurology nursing. On August 24, 1963 in Kansas City, MO, Mary Etta would be united in marriage to Clarence “Joe” Robinson. Their union in marriage would be blessed with two children. Her beloved husband Joe would precede her in death on January 6th of this year.

Mary Etta worked with the USO in early years. Outside of work, she enjoyed stamp collecting, sewing and quilting, painting with water colors, flower and vegetable gardening, as well as clothing and shopping. Mary Etta was a hockey fan, and enjoyed cheering for her Detroit Red Wings.

Mary Etta was preceded in death by her late husband, Clarence “Joe” Robinson; her parents; and her sister, Elaine Baker. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Michael) Kingrey of Kansas City MO, grandchildren, Stephanie and Michael Kingrey, and great-granddaughter, Hannah Kingrey; son, Steven (Roxanne) Robinson of Woodbury MN, and granddaughter Natalie Robinson; her sister, Wilma (Bill) Hall; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral Services for Mary Etta Robinson will be held at 10:30am on Monday, November 18, 2013 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 11th St. S. in Hudson, with Rev. Fr. Jerald Harris officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Burial at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery at 12:05pm. Services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson WI. 715-386-3725
