Mary Kay Mahnke

Mary Kay Mahnke, age 71, of River Falls, WI passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Monday, November 26, 2018. She was born on August 31, 1947 in Wausau, WI to Thomas and Margaret (Mattson) Trainor. She was a graduate of Newman Catholic High School in Wausau and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Science. On August 31, 1968 on her 21st birthday she was united in marriage to Royal Lee Mahnke in Wausau, WI.
Mary was a loving wife and mother to her four children, and was a very loving and supportive grandmother to her eight grandchildren. She was a very compassionate person not only to her family but to anyone who knew her. Mary was an avid reader, and through her reading she became a trivia buff. She enjoyed celebrating holidays throughout the whole year.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Margaret Trainor; infant twin brothers; sister, Marilyn (Darwin) Spletter.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Royal; her children, John Mahnke (fiancé, Lory Ruiz), Lee (Jesi) Mahnke, Ellen (Hondo) Dammann, Elizabeth (Jesse) Berg; grandchildren, Tyler, Jessy, Zane, Alexis, Brett, Evan, Easton, Natalie; nephews, Tom and Mike Spletter; many other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial for Mary will be 11:00 am on Friday, November 30th at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 211 East Division Street, River Falls. Gathering of Family and Friends will be 5:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, November 29th and one hour prior to Mass on Friday both at St. Bridget Catholic Church. Private interment will be at Restlawn Memorial Park in Wausau, WI.
