Mary Louise “Molly” (Hanson) Pace, passed away on Thursday July 17th after a long, courageous battle with cancer.Molly was born on April 15, 1965 in Madison, WI to Gerald and Mary Hanson. She spent the first five years of her life in Fort Atkinson, WI. The family then moved to River Falls where Molly started first grade at St. Bridget Catholic School. Molly’s high school years were cut short because she started to raise her family. She married her loving husband and best friend, Bill and had three children by the time she was 21. While raising her family Molly would go on to get her GED and attend the University of St. Catherine’s in St. Paul, MN. She graduated with a BS degree in nursing. She worked for a few years for Fairview Hospital doing in home care nursing before she became disabled and had to quit working. Molly’s nursing skills helped with many family medical journeys during her lifetime.Molly enjoyed family and most off all her grandson, John the love of her life. She enjoyed cooking and was good at it because she learned it all from her mother. Sewing was also her thing and she made beautiful blankets for many family members. She enjoyed shopping and always looked and found the best bargains. Molly was a very giving person and was always there for anyone who needed her.We all loved her very much and words cannot express how much we will miss her.Molly was preceded in death by her father and mother, Gerald and Mary Hanson, infant brother, John Patrick, father-in-law, Claude Pace, uncles; Earl Hennessy, James Hennessy, Rodney Hanson and Merle Smith, aunts; Mae Lou Hennessy and Juanita Smith.She is survived by her husband, Bill Pace of River Falls, children, Michelle (Joe) Engel of River Falls, Patrick Pace of River Falls, and Aimee Pace of River Falls, grandson, John Engel of River Falls, sister, Sue (Rand) Digman of River Falls, brother, Bill (Rose) Hanson of Deephaven, MN, mother-in-law, Katey Pace of River Falls, brother-in-law, Mike Pace of Beldenvile, WI, and sister-in-law, Sherry (Duane) Bruggeman of River Falls, nieces; Nichole (James) Heil of St. Paul Park, MN, Shannon (Tony) Tellin of River Falls, and Sarah Bruggeman of River Falls, nephews; Jon Hanson of Morrisville, NC, Matt Hanson of Deephaven, MN, Mike Hanson of Deephaven, MN, David (Morgan) Bruggeman of Hammond, WI, and Joe Pace of River Falls, aunts; Alice Hennessey of Maple Grove, MN, Shirley Hanson of Santan Valley, AZ, and Betty Hanson of Grantsburg, WI, many cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.Cashman-Hill Funeral Home & Cremation Services are assisting the family.
