Mary Louise “Marylu” Brown, age 103, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018, at the Woodbury Healthcare Center. Marylu was born on November 12, 1914, the daughter of John and Mary (Glardon) Cobb. On March 29, 1940, she was united in marriage to Jerome Henrick Brown in Racine, Wisconsin. Marylu was a florist at the Hudson Flower Shop for over 15 years, as well as a jewelry designer for a small Minneapolis jeweler for a short time prior.

Marylu will remain in the hearts of her son, Jerome R. “Randy” (Karen) Brown; grandchildren, Jerome D. “Jerry” (Barbara) Brown, Jenni (Scott) Freitag, Stephanie Brown, Rein Gillstrom, Mark Gillstrom, Kelly Gillstrom; 10 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; as well as other extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome H. Brown; daughter, Sandra Lang; grandson, Jeffrey Gillstrom; brothers, Donald Cobb and Jack Cobb; sisters, Jeanne Greenquist & Barbara Pearce.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, September 14, 2018, at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson, WI, followed by a Memorial Service for Marylu at 11:30. Lunch will immediately follow the Memorial Service. Services have been entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
