Mary Agnes Zwald, age 87, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018, at the Baldwin Care Center. Mary was born May 31, 1931, the daughter of Fred and Annie (Fischer) Kosbab in St. Cloud, MN. On June 27, 1951, she was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Zwald at Peace Church of St. Paul, MN.

Mary was a devoted and proud wife, mother, and grandma. Mary was known in the community for her leadership in 4-H and in local Homemakers’ activities. She was also an overtly active member of First Reformed Church activities, including the Reformed Church Women’s Ministries group. She looked forward to any occasion that called for a home-cooked meal or her talents in preparing baked goods.

Mary will remain in the hearts of her children, Greg (Irma) Zwald, Robert F. (Kay) Zwald, Ruth Zwald; grandchildren, Nate (Angela) Zwald, Sarah (Justin) Jorgensen, Amy (Chris) Majeski, Taran (Catherine) Staal, Tanya Zwald, Stephanie (Jason) Wipf, Alisabeth (Ricky) Ballou, Annette (Steve) Schalla, Tom (Ashley) Zwald, Andrew (Kim) Zwald; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Claude Kosbab; sisters, Arlene (Burt) Goebel and Patricia (Richard) Floyd; as well as other extended family members and close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Robert “Bob” Zwald; parents, Fred and Annie; brother-in-law Burt, and brothers, Claude, Richard and Leo.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 3 to 5 PM on Sunday, August 19, 2018, at the First Reformed Church of Baldwin, followed by a Memorial Service for Mary at 5:00. Services have been entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin, WI.
