Maureen Lois Larson, 77, of New Richmond, WI died suddenly on December 27, 2024 in Casa Grande, AZ. Her husband of 56 Years, Duane, was at her side.

Maureen was born June 3, 1947 in Rockford, Illinois, to Maurice and Audrey Krueger. She graduated in 1965 from Rockford West High School and The Rockford Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1968 where she received her RN diploma. Maureen then married the love of her life Duane in October 1968.

As an RN she worked in various areas. Always giving her all to her patients.

Maureen always had a smile on her face. She had many close friends that she made over the years while living in Rockford, IL, Wales, WI, Hudson, WI, New Richmond, WI and the 19 years vacationing in Casa Grande, AZ. She loved getting together with these friends and family whether in person or on the phone. She was an avid gardener. She enjoyed golf, playing cards, Mahjong, lunch, a walk or a glass of wine with friends. She also enjoyed travels with her husband, family, sister and friends.

She is survived by her Husband Duane and two sons, Jon Larson (Tammy) their children Emily and Jacob, Lacrosse, WI. Mark Larson (Jenny), children Tyler (Ava) and Ben New Richmond, WI. She is also survived by her best friend and sister, Diane Rauser (Bill) of Adrian, MI, numerous nieces, nephews, Duane’s family and many friends, she was preceded in death by her parents Maurice and Audrey Krueger and Duane’s parents Harley and Helen of Cashton, WI. She will be sadly missed by each and every one of us.

There will be a celebration of life at a future date in the Spring. O’Connell Funeral home Hudson is assisting with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in her honor has been established at the Christian Community Home in Hudson. Maureen was instrumental in creating a Memorial Garden in 1999.
