Michael Aaron John, passed away on May 1, 2024, in Hammond, WI with family by his side. Born in Stillwater, MN on August 4, 1960, he was a beloved husband of Phyllis John and cherished son of David and Anita John.
Michael was a man of many talents and passions. From selling fireworks with his wife to crafting cabinets with precision and skill, he found joy in every task he undertook. His love for working with wood was evident in his craftsmanship, and he passed down his talents onto his children.
In his leisure time, Michael loved being in the outdoors – fishing, hunting, and camping with his family. His adventurous spirit and love for nature were truly unparalleled. When he wasn’t casting lines or exploring the wilderness, he could be found trying his luck at the casino, always seeking excitement and new experiences.
Known for his captivating storytelling abilities, Michael had a gift for keeping others entertained for hours with his tales and anecdotes. His charisma and warmth endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis; children Kenny John, Sara (Ron) Albright, David (Kris) John, and Kevin (Brenda) John; grandchildren Hope, Emma, Kira, Shelby, RJ, Katie May, Aiden, Amelia, Cora, Olivia, and Kaylee; mother Anita John; siblings Benita (Tom), Randy (Gina), Greg (Cathy), Rodney (Sharron) Shelly (Bryan) Chuck (Abbie), and Ellen (Dan); many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his father David; granddaughter Kenatie; and his grandparents.
The celebration of Michael’s remarkable life will be honored on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the O’Connell Funeral Home in Hudson, WI. Visitation will start at 11am with a service starting at 12pm. Open to all that knew him.
