Michael “Mick” Larson

Michael “Mick” J. Larson, age 20, of Eau Claire, WI, died tragically on July 27, 2015 in an airplane accident in Polk County, WI. Mick was born on February 23, 1995 to Eric and Stacey (Wolff) Larson in Barron, WI. He attended school in Amery, Baldwin, and Hudson and was a graduate of Hudson High School in 2013. He graduated from Dakota County Technical College and received his Lineman certificate in 2014 and following in his father’s footsteps recently started working for Xcel Energy in Eau Claire, WI.

Mick had a heart of gold and a smile that could light up a room. He was a hard worker, loyal friend and always willing to lend a helping hand. Mick had a passion for many things in life – hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, his Harley Davidson and entering his Chevy Diesel truck in local truck pulls. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Mick recently purchased his first home in Eau Claire, WI and was engaged to Abbie Dunn, the love of his life.

He is survived by his mother, Stacey Larson of Hudson, WI; finance Abbie Dunn; grandparents, Gerald and Sharen Larson of Hudson, WI and Peg Wolff of Hudson, WI; aunts and uncles: Jody (Charles “Chuck”) Enloe of Hudson, WI, Jeffrey (Pamela) Larson of Hudson, WI, Molly (Robert) Callahan of Minneapolis, MN, and Lisa (Mike) Sicard of Somerset, WI; and cousins: Kyle (Autumn) Enloe of Stillwater, MN, Scott Enloe of Hudson, WI, Courtney (fiance, Brandon) Larson of Hudson, WI, Kirsten Larson of Hudson, WI, Samantha Wolff of Somerset, WI, Trevor Wolff of Somerset, WI, and Joey Callahan of Minneapolis, MN. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Kent Wolff; and uncle, Craig Wolff.

A Time to Remember Mick’s Life will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2015 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1500 Vine St., Hudson with a prayer service concluding the evening at 8 p.m. Interment at Willow River Cemetery in Hudson.

Because the Larson men thought dressing up was highly overrated the family would suggest that the dress code for the service be casual, jeans and a t-shirt. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson
