Shelly Hansen, 46, died Oct. 12, 2015 just after 2:30 a.m. After a day of goodbyes with family and a few close friends, Shelly earned her wings. Heaven welcomed home its latest angel. It’s so hard thinking that we won’t be able to see that big smile or hear her laughing hysterically, but it is so comforting to know that she is no longer in pain and is at peace. During her time, she liked volunteering for church events and 4-H activities. She used her artistic talents for sewing, crafting, and scrapbooking with friends. She loved to shop and travel, but her favorite thing to do was to watch her daughter Mikayla play softball, however, she spent more time chatting with the other softball moms than watching the actual game.

Shelly is survived by her loving husband, Rick; daughter, Mikayla; parents, Dick and Georgia Kelm; brother, Jason (Sue) Kelm; nephew, Tanner Kelm; niece, Gaby Kelm; aunt, Ruth Bosman; parents-in-law, Ron and Dianne Hansen; brothers-in-law, Randy (Sandy) Hansen, Ron Jr. “Perky” (Tracy) Hansen, Jeremy “George” (Tara) Hansen, eight nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation on Friday, Oct. 16, from 4-7 p.m. at Cashman Hill Funeral Home, 225 S. 3rd St., River Falls.
A celebration of life will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17 at Ezekiel Lutheran Church, 202 S. 2nd St., River Falls with an additional hour visitation from 12-1pm. At Shelly’s request, please wear bright colors or St. Cloud State attire. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Rhinos Foundation.
