Miguel Angel Contento Lapo age 31 of River Falls, died Saturday, December 14, 2024 at his brother’s residence in Cottage Grove. Miguel was born on July 1st, 1993 in Loja, Saraguro, Ecuador; the son of mother María Alegría and father Julian Contento (died in 1996). He migrated to Minnesota and Wisconsin in 2017 and worked at the Steve Brand and Jason Kjos farms and just lately at McDonald’s in Hastings.

He always wore a sweet smile. He was a very good soccer player and started a team with mostly nephews, cousins and some friends from his hometown Loja.
He is survived by the love of his life Lilia Gualan; daughter Yesslyn Contento; Mom María Alegría; brothers Zhon (Rosa) Contento, Franklin Contento, Manuel (Luz) Contento and Julio (Martha) Contento; and many nieces and nephews.

Miguel had his life celebrated by his family and friends on Sunday, December 15th. He will be returned to his native country Ecuador for services and burial.
