Milton George Riemenschneider

Milton George Riemenschneider, age 87 Ellsworth, WI, formerly of Brighton, MI, passed away February 27, 2018 in Milford, MI. Milton was born September 8, 1930, in Trimbelle Township, WI to Jake and Helen (Albrecht) Riemenschneider. After Milton’s mother passed away, his father married Winifred Pearl (Smith-Peck). Milton proudly served his country in the United States Army. Milton’s life was blessed with 4 daughters. Milton’s life was again blessed when he married Lois Dahlby. Milton worked for the Ford Motor Company until his retirement in 1984. After retirement, Milton and Lois made their home in Ellsworth. Milton and Lois shared 50 wonderful years together, until Lois’ death on October 31, 2017.

Milton was talented in scroll saw work, and created many beautiful pieces that won Grand Champion awards at the Pierce County Fair. He enjoyed fishing and loved to tell jokes and share stories.

Milton will remain in the hearts of his daughters, Brenda Stinnett, Roxanne (John) Swope, Tina (Ken) Janofski, and Lori (Ron) Benedict; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; brothers, Harold (Betty) Riemenschneider and Conrad Riemenschneider; sister, Lucille (Earl) Anderson; brother-in-law, Norris Nicholson; and many nieces and nephews.

Milton was preceded in death by his wife, Lois; sister, Dorothy Nicholson; grandchildren, Jamie Mason and Roni Benedict; and his parents.

A visitation will take place 5:00–7:00 PM Friday, March 9, 2018 at the O’Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home, 130 N. Grant St., Ellsworth, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the O’Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home. Military honors will follow the service at the funeral home. Milton will join his wife, Lois at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ellsworth.
