Minnie E. Davidsaver, age 85, of Ellsworth, died May 10, 2023 at the River Falls Area Hospital. Minnie was born on July 29, 1937 in Whitehall, Wisconsin; the daughter of Norman and Tilda (Norby) Kolve. In 1980, she was married to Dale Davidsaver at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hastings.

Minnie worked as a housekeeper cleaning houses and homes for busy families. She was meticulous and as a result had many satisfied customers. In doing so, she became an extended member of the family for many of them. Earlier, she worked for a period of time for the Armour Meat plant.

Outside of taking care of other families, she loved taking care of her own. Many times, you would find her in the kitchen baking up storm. She enjoyed her time earlier living in Luck before moving to Ellsworth. She thoroughly enjoyed taking care of her flower gardens. No weed was safe as she ruled with a green thumb. Usually, you would see her hanging out with her dog Trixie as they were rarely apart.

Minnie will live on in the hearts of her children: Lynda Dahl, and James (Gail) Dahl; grandchildren: Chris (Deanna) Dahl, Kyle Kocurek, Cody Dahl, Luke Dahl, Rebecca Sherry, Donnie Sherry, Tony (Jessica) Siebenaler, Robert Dullum, Jamie (Jore) Faucet, Sara Dullum, and several great grandchildren; siblings JR (Cheryl) Kolve, Bonnie Mark, David Kolve.

She joins her parents, husband Dale; daughter Sandra; granddaughter, Jessica, Kelly, and nine siblings.

A Funeral service for Minnie Davidsaver will at 11:00AM on Monday, May 15, 2023 at English Lutheran Church: 229 W. Main St. Ellsworth, WI 54011. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Svea Lutheran Cemetery in Hager City.

Services are entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Ellsworth, www.oconnellfuneralhomes.com, 715-273-4421

  1. To the family of Minnie I extend my sympathy. She was a wonderful friend of my mother, Leona Armbruster, and that is how I got to know her. May her soul Rest In Peace. May all her many friends welcome her into her heavenly home.

    Alice Mercord
