Nancy L. Colombo, age 78, of Hudson, WI, passed away on January 6, 2024 with family by her side. She was born on February 19, 1945 in St. Paul, MN to parents Francis and Emma (Gangl) Tierney. She graduated from Roseville High School in 1963 and continued on to vocational school. Nancy married the love of her life, Greg Colombo on September 21, 1974 and enjoyed 40 years of marriage. She worked as an administrative assistant at 3M until she took early retirement to be the devoted caregiver for Greg, who died in 2014 from complications of MS.

Nancy was an avid boater on the St. Croix River and enjoyed riding around in the Corvettes that Greg lovingly restored. She had a keen interest in ancestry and spent countless hours researching and documenting her family history and the history of friends. She had a large extended family who were very import her and she loved spending time with them at holidays and gatherings. She will always be remembered for her laughter, her great sense of humor and the love and care she generously provided to her loved ones.

Nancy is survived by her daughter Michelle (Craig) Berquist; grandchildren Nik Kindschy, Ben Berquist, Brianna (Mark) Jacobson, and Tierney Murphy; great grandson Collin Jacobson; dear sisters Pat (Dick) Schultz and Terry (Nick) Fahey, her beloved brother Tom (Lynn) Tierney, and countless nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Greg; son Tom Murphy; grandson Erik Kindschy; and sisters Kitty Tschida and Marilyn Hallman.

A memorial service for Nancy will be held on Monday, January 15, 2024 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson. Visitation will be from 12-1pm with a service at 1pm. Memorials are preferred to the family.
