Nancy Mary Erickson of Sand Creek, WI, passed away on March 26, 2024, at the age of 72. Born on May 24, 1951, in Kalamazoo, MI, to parents Paul and Irene Menosky. Graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree from Michigan State, she dedicated her professional life to public service as a Social Worker, extending comfort and support to those in need.
Nancy held steadfastly to her faith, finding solace in the beauty of God’s creations. She found joy in writing and capturing the beauty of wild animals and farm landscapes through photography, turning her images into heartfelt greeting cards. Her trusted companion Coco was a faithful friend on her drives through the countryside, capturing moments of life’s simple splendors. The ocean also held a special place in her heart.
She is survived by her children Tony (Susan) Erickson and Troy Erickson; grandchildren Bailey and Caitlyn; sister Peggy.
She is preceded in death by her parents Paul and Irene as well as her beloved dog Coco.
a Memorial Service will be held at O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson on April 27, 2024, at 11:00 am. Prior to the service, a Visitation will take place at the same location at 10:00 am.
Memorials are preferred and will be given to local food pantries and other organizations that assist those most in need and will be distributed by the family.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Nancy today. I am with you in spirit during her memorial service. I live in Maryland, otherwise, I would be with you to honor her memory. Nancy was a dear friend to me and my mother (Swanee) over the years. My mom lived at Morningside a number of years ago, so they were neighbors. Nancy and I continued to keep in touch, supporting one another through health issues. Praise God, no more pain in heaven! Nancy is with her Lord and Saviour, as is my mom. They are walking the streets of gold with Jesus, and Coco, too. Nancy was a good photographer and always thrilled to capture God’s creatures and creation. I have a number of her boxes of cards.
We will meet again one day.
