Nancy Hodgson

Nancy Ann Hodgson (Curley), age 84, passed away with her immediate family by her side on June 25, 2024, at her home in Hudson, Wisconsin. She was born on February 20, 1940, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Clarence and Rachel Curley. The Curley family soon relocated to St. Paul, Minnesota. Nancy often spoke fondly of her years growing up with her family on Carroll Avenue. Nancy was a 1959 graduate of Central High School and went on to work in accounts receivable for Transport Clearings, Cass Bank, and Lakeville Motor Express. On August 16, 1968, Nancy married the love of her life, Don Hodgson, Sr. They welcomed her only son Don Jr. in 1978.

Nancy will be remembered for her fiery spirit, generous heart, infectious laughter, and devotion to her family. Nancy will be missed dearly by those who knew her as she touched the lives of many with her generosity and unwavering love for her family. Nancy’s greatest joy in life was doting on her two grandsons, William and Weston, who she leaves behind with cherished memories and a legacy of wit, warmth, and compassion.

Nancy is survived by her son, Don Jr. (Casey), her two grandsons and many nieces, nephews and others who considered her an honorary mother or grandmother.

Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Don Sr., her parents Clarence and Rachel, and her siblings Bob, Gene, Patty, Lois, Marjorie, Barbara, and Katie.

Join us in a celebration of Nancy’s life on Friday, July 12, 2024, at O’Connell Funeral Home, 520 11th Street South, Hudson, WI 54016, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM and a short service to follow at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are invited to come together to pay their respects and share stories of Nancy’s life, laughter, and love.
