Nancy M. Lang

Nancy Marlene Lang, age 79 of Hudson, WI, passed away July 31, 2018 at the Abbot Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN after a heroic struggle with Multiple Sclerosis for 30 years.

Nancy was born on August 28, 1938 in St. Paul, MN, to parents Arnie and Marjorie (House) Anderson. She graduated from Humbolt High School in St. Paul, class of 1956, and earned a Masters Degree from the University of Minnesota. Nancy worked for the Toni Company, and Gillette Company, before joining 3M as a Chemical Engineer. She was united in marriage to Stephen Lang. The couple shared a love for adventure, and were members of the St. Paul Yacht Club. After Stephan’s death in 1972, Nancy continued her adventures with trips and cruises throughout the world. Though Nancy was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis she continued to pursue a very active lifestyle.

Nancy will remain in the hearts of her siblings, Sally Nuebel of Hudson, Gerald (Janice) Anderson, Linda (Dick) Ruth, and James Anderson; nieces, Sandy (Michael) Eddy, Lori (Grant Hartup) Nuebel, Lisa (Richard) Radley, Nancy (John) Parotti; nephew, Daniel Anderson; many great-nieces and nephews; other relatives and special friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Stephen; her parents; brother-in-law, Ed Nuebel; and infant grandniece, Marjorie Marie Nuebel Sokolowski.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7, with a 1:00 p.m. brief memorial service and sharing of memories at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson, WI.

Memorials are preferred to the Multiple Sclerosis Society – Upper Midwest Chapter, 200 12th Ave. S, Minneapolis, MN 55415.
