Nellie Anderson

Nellie Mae Anderson, age 83 of Bay City, WI, passed away March 22, 2021 at the Prescott Nursing Home.  Nellie was born March 20, 1938 in Finley, ND to William and Ovidia (Foss) Christofferson.  On February 6, 1960, Nellie was united in marriage to Lloyd Anderson.  Their marriage was blessed with four children, Brenda, Gregory, Annette and Richard.  Nellie lovingly raised her children and provided a nurturing home to her family.  She enjoyed baking and was well known for her delicious lefse and crescent rolls.  Nellie also delighted in tending to her flower gardens.  She was a devoted member of Tabor Lutheran Church.  Nellie and Lloyd shared 55 years of marriage, until his passing in 2015.

Nellie is survived by her children, Brenda Crawford of VA, Greg (Deb) of Casa Grande, AZ, Annette Anderson of MN, and Richard Anderson of Ellsworth; grandsons who were important part of Nellie and Lloyd’s life, Matt and Joe Anderson.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; and brothers, Curtis and Willie Christofferson.

A special thanks to the staff at the Prescott Nursing Home for their exceptional and loving care of Nellie throughout the years.

A Memorial service for Nellie will take place 11:00 AM Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Tabor Lutheran Church in Bay City, WI with Pastor Gene Hasselquist officiating.  Nellie will be interred with her husband at Tabor Lutheran Cemetery.  A Celebration of Nellie’s Life will follow at the American Legion in Bay City from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 PM.  Memorials are preferred to the Tabor Cemetery Association.
