Norman Charles Lust, age 97-1/2 of Hudson, was born on August 10, 1926 in St. Paul, Minnesota; the son of Benjamin and Edna (Guetschoff) Lust.
Norman attended Webster Elementary School prior to graduating from John Marshall High School. He would further his education at the University of Minnesota.
Norman was united in marriage to Grace Pearson on June 18, 1950 in Sheffield, PA.
Norman worked in the healthcare industry for over forty five years. He worked twenty five years for Greeley Street Clinic and another ten years for the Hudson Memorial Hospital. He worked as a medical lab/x-ray technician. Furthermore, he also worked for the Hudson Police Department as an auxiliary police officer where he worked his way to the rank of captain. He was recognized for twenty-three years of service. His civic involvement continued where he worked as the civil defense director for St. Croix County and taught first aid for the local Red Cross chapter. He enjoyed woodworking and making keepsakes for family and friends.
Norman leaves to mourn his loss; his daughters Sheryl Newad (Roger Brondstetter), Nancy (John) Herbst and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Grace, father Benjamin Lust, mother Edna and step father Herbert Scott, step sister Beverly and step brother Robert.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 9th at 12pm at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will be in the Sunset Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Funeral services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson.
