Pamela Jean Jarvis, age 58, of Glenwood City passed away next to her husband, John Jarvis, on August 16, 2021 as a result of injuries sustained in an ATV accident days before.

Pam was born on December 11, 1962 in  Grand Rapids, Michigan to Willard and Marilyn Johnson. She was raised in Burnsville, Minnesota where she graduated from high school. She met and fell in love with her best friend, John ‘J.J.’ Jarvis, while working together at Northwest Airlines. Together, they were married on February 26, 1994. Their union was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Jordin and Jessica.

Pam took great pride in her family and home. She had an exceptional green thumb and maintained an enviable garden together with her husband. They enjoyed experimenting with wine fermentation and sharing fresh veggies and homemade preserves with their neighbors. Pam had a gifted ear for music. She played piano and organ for many years at the Glenwood City United Methodist Church. Pam was thoughtful and mindful of her friends and family and was always keen to lend an ear or a hand to anyone who needed it.

Pam is survived by her cherished daughters, Jordin and Jessica; her parents, Willard and Marilyn Johnson; her sister, Paula; and her brothers, Jeff and Tim.

A private memorial service will be 3pm on August 26th. Click here to watch live. A public Celebration of Life for Pamela and John Jarvis will be held on Thursday, August 26th from 4pm to 7pm at O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Baldwin. There will be opportunities to share stories at the top of each hour during the gathering. Memorials are preferred and will be used for the wellbeing of their two daughters, Jordin and Jessica, as they mourn the loss of their parents. Memorials may be sent to O’Connell’s at 1010 Newton Street, Baldwin, WI 54002. Please keep these girls and their entire families in your thoughts and prayers as they say goodbye to their parents.

    • To the daughters and other family members of Pamela and John, I do not know this family, but my Deepest Sympathies go out to all of you, as you mourn Pam and John’s Untimely death! I read about the accident online, from Fargo, ND, and I cried at how they died, while holding hands! Their love will carry deep in you girls! You just have to keep remembering all the good times, and know that they will be watching over You! They will in time, give you signs that they are happy, and at Peace! God Bless You, as you go on your journeys!

    • I read of the perplexing loss suffered by the Jarvis family just this evening and felt strongly that another expression of love and support must come from my Alabama home to yours wherever friends and family impacted by this loss may reside. Please know, each of you, that you occupy a gentle, loving place in my thoughts. May you always experience the support of a caring community, especially at this time of great sorrow.

    • I don’t know this family, I saw the news article on my computer. My deepest sympathy to the whole family. I have to admit when I read this story I got goosebumps and cried. My husband, John (57) and I (Pamela 56) were also in an ATV accident recently. We received terrible injuries also, but fortunately our outcome was different. After reading this story we are again reminded how blessed we were. PLEASE, anyone riding any ATV, please use the harnesses and wear helmets. For yourself and all the people that you love, please wear the safety gear. We didn’t think we needed ours(we were only doing 5 mph and flipped 70 ft down a mountain); please be safe! RIP John &Pamela Jarvis 🙏🏻

    • I dont know this family. But I send my deepest sympathy to their daughters. And friends and other family.
