Patricia Malueg passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 after an extended illness at age 76.

Patricia was born in Lowell, Indiana and was the oldest of 11 siblings. Her family moved to Hastings, Minnesota when she was in high school and Pat graduated from Rosemount High School in 1965. After graduating, Pat worked for a time at Brockway Glass in Rosemount and then at H.D. Hudson Manufacturing Company in Hastings for many years. She also bartended for Mississippi Belle, and Jury’s Inn.

She met her husband, Raymond and they shared 38 years of marriage. Together, they embarked on countless adventures and travels, relishing winters in Florida. Her passion for gardening led to moments of joy as she delighted in spotting hummingbirds. Cooking was another source of happiness, as was the time spent with family and many dear friends.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Raymond. She will be greatly missed by daughter Kelly (George Dowdy) Thiede; grandchildren Katelyn Thiede, Jacquelyn (Seth) Paul, Mathias Thiede, Sara Thiede,  Cody Thiede, Liana Frey, Josh Frey, Jake Frey, and Andrew Jones; great-grandchildren Raiden, Rhyann, Caleb, Rowan, Emmitt, Ryker, Hudson, Amelia, and one on the way in June; siblings Marc (Joan) Huebsch, Jo (Scott) Powell, Jon (DeBee) Huebsch, Dawn (Cliff) Emery, Jan Kluender, Kim Skocdopole, Melanie Stevens, Lisa (Colin) Boie, Beth (Steve Soika ) Huebsch, and David (Christine) Huebsch; stepdaughters Laura (Joe) Goodman and Wendy (Eric) Schwendeman; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Archie and Doris Huebsch, nephew Landry Skocdopole, niece Andrea Boie, and stepson Bruce Malueg.

A celebration of Patricia’s life will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 1:00 to 4:00pm at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 1339 Orrin Road, Prescott, WI.

  1. Pat and Ray I have known seasonally for about 20 years. they had a home in Poinsettia Park as did my husband Ian and I for same period of time. A snowbird hone, Pat and Ray did not come just to retire though. They where a very active part of community happenings in Poinsettia Park for most of those years . together they hosted many of the park dinners for all occasions, very well executed meals an put together a good team to help them with their efforts. I know she loved the garden and plants and of course family, where very dear to her. Pat you where one fine, damn fine person. Hopefully long remembered by family and friends
